“La Force D’une Ombre” marks Davodka’s return to his signature sound. In this new single, he blends social protest against the authorities with a relentless critique of the modern music industry.

The track opens with a spoken introduction that describes a society shaped by consumerism and political manipulation, noting that resistance is still growing.

Positioning himself as a “shadow”, Davodka stands tall against arrogant politicians and industry puppets, delivering a reminder to hold onto self-respect, resist the system, and fight for the truth.

“La Force D’une Ombre: Act I” will be released on December 4th.

Menx builds a bleak, post-apocalyptic world, set up perfectly by a dystopian radio intro. The heavy, dark production creates a fitting backdrop for his sharp sociopolitical critique.

The track centers around a direct interpolation of “Die Gedanken sind frei” (Thoughts Are Free), a classic 18th-century German folk song about free speech. In the original anthem, thoughts flying like “night shadows” (Nächtliche Schatten) symbolized the mind’s resilience against censorship. Menx brings this idea into modern reality, showing that internal resistance is the last space the state cannot control.

Lyrically, Menx targets state overreach and the psychological pressure of systemic control. Invoking the old saying that “good times create weak people”, he points to a long era of comfort as the root of public apathy. Ultimately, “Nächtliche Schatten” is less of a standard political critique and more of a sharp reminder: even under total surveillance, the human mind cannot be caged.
