Babylon Dead – Gully (2025) [UK]

The Babylon Dead is a project by Bristol MC Jman and producer Illinformed, combining UK hip-hop with ragga vocals. The track is built on the slang concept of “gully” — meaning music that comes directly from unpolished street culture.

In line with the group’s name, the lyrics focus on opposition to state power and social systems. Jman delivers fast, rhythm-driven verses about survival in the city.

Illinformed backs him with slow basslines and cold samples that create a tense, uneasy mood.
