“Pedestal” is one of Yugen’s many intellectual gems dedicated to self-discovery, shattering imposed idols, and liberating oneself from the expectations of others. She described the song’s concept through the prism of the history of civilizations: people constantly construct concepts, idols, and social frameworks (pedestals) that carry the weight of grand symbols, but over time, they begin to restrict the individual.

She critiques the endless “rat race” that has no finish line, bringing nothing but the exhaustion of human souls. Money can buy many things, but it will never purchase a way out of this controlled system.
