Aslan Neter – Rise Up (2013) [UK]

The track “Rise Up” by British underground hip-hop artist and producer Aslan Neter, featured on his release Paradox EP (as well as appearing in projects by the Hornz of Jericho release), is dedicated to struggle, spiritual awakening, and resisting the system.

Like most tracks by Aslan, who represents independent British rap with a deep philosophical and socially conscious undertone, the composition calls on listeners to “rise up” above the mental and social limitations imposed by the modern world.

The lyrics are filled with metaphors about the awakening of consciousness, overcoming internal and external obstacles, and refusing to obey the rules of a corrupt or blind system.
